Narrative
Sam Fairbanks was run over by a car on Feb. 11th and the driver of the vehicle checked on him before fleeing the scene at Park Avenue West and Glenarm Place. Fairbanks was severely injured from the impact, being left with a brain injury and broken back and ribs. Fairbanks was hospitalized for several weeks at Denver Health following the incident that occurred within two blocks of his house. The at-fault driver is known to have been in an orange or red Chevrolet Trax. Authorities report that the vehicle probably has damage in the front and it is suspected that the female driver had a male passenger in the vehicle at the time. Fairbanks’ son commented that Fairbanks is a strong, moral character. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
