Narrative
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A motorcyclist sustained injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in Colorado Springs.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on the eastbound side of Highway 24, or Cimarron Street, near 30th Street. This is just northeast of Red Rock Canyon.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the motorcyclist crashed into a pickup truck along the highway. While the driver of the pickup truck did not suffer injuries, the motorcyclist required hospitalization for a fractured leg.
Authorities cited the motorcyclist for reckless driving.
Officials closed the eastbound side of the highway while crews worked to assist the victim and clear the scene.
