Narrative
SILT, CO – A motorcyclist’s life was claimed when a driver of a Ford F-250 pickup truck turned onto Davis Point Road from eastbound Highway 6 and crashed into the Harley Davidson motorcycle Monday. The motorcyclist, who was identified as 50-year-old Jose Magaña, was thrown from his bike and came to rest underneath the pickup truck’s front bumper. Despite wearing a helmet, he sustained blunt-force injuries and was killed at the scene. Speed and impairment were not contributing factors to the crash. It is unclear if the Ford driver, a 79-year-old man, will face charges.
