Narrative
STERLING, CO – A pickup truck rollover collision on northbound Highway 61 at milepost 61 injured two 18-year-old men and killed a 26-year-old and 49-year-old man before 6 a.m. Tuesday. Colorado State Patrol said the driver of the truck drifted off the road, overcorrected to the right before the vehicle went off the road and veered into a field, and came to rest. The impact caused the 26-year-old man to be thrown from the truck, as officials said he did not wear a seatbelt. The other occupants did wear their seatbelts. The 49-year-old and 26-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene, while the 18-year-old men were hospitalized. One of them suffered serious injuries, and the other male’s condition is unknown.
Officials are investigating additional details.
