Narrative
DENVER, CO – A two-vehicle collision along the interstate in northeast Denver killed one person Monday morning.
The accident occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on the westbound side of I-70 near Holly Street, which is just east of the Safeway Distribution Center and north of the Park Hill area.
Police say that a silver sedan rear-ended an RTD bus on the interstate. The bus was not transporting any passengers at the time of the crash.
The driver of the sedan, who has not yet been named by authorities, died at the scene.
No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.
Officials closed I-70 westbound in the area of the crash while emergency crews worked at the scene.
