COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – One person sustained injuries Sunday night after a vehicle struck them at a busy intersection in southeast Colorado Springs.
The accident happened around 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Hancock Expressway and Jet Wing Drive, which is just northwest of Deerfield Hills Community Center.
Police say a westbound sedan hit the pedestrian as they were crossing southbound. The vehicle then fled the scene of the accident.
Medics transported the victim to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are looking for a dark-colored sedan with possible front-end damage. Anyone with tips or information to share can contact the Colorado Springs Police Department.
