Narrative
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – A two-vehicle collision in central Colorado Springs killed one person and hurt another on Friday.
The accident happened shortly after noon at East Bijou Street and Platte Place, which is northeast of Memorial Park and Prospect Lake.
Police say that a westbound motorcycle was speeding when they crashed into a southbound Nissan sedan as the latter vehicle was turning from Platte Place onto Bijou.
Authorities declared the biker deceased at the scene. Their name has not yet been released to the public.
The driver of the second vehicle went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
