Narrative
DENVER, CO – A pedestrian died Monday after a truck struck them near their home on Mississippi Avenue in Denver.
The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection with South Irving Street, which is just east of Garfield Lake Park.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was spreading bug spray around his house when a speeding pickup truck him him. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
Police arrested the 56-year-old driver for showing signs of impairment.
The investigation is ongoing.
