Narrative
FREDERICK, CO – Two people sustained fatal injuries Saturday night in a major collision near the interstate in southwest Weld County.
The accident occurred around 10 p.m. at the intersection of Tipple Parkway and the southbound frontage road for I-25 in northwest Frederick, about 22 miles northeast of Boulder.
Police haven’t shared any details about the crash except to say that two vehicles collided head on.
Both drivers ultimately succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have not yet disclosed their names to the public.
Officials closed the southbound frontage road to I-25 in the area of the crash while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked at the scene.
